Ascent Small Business Marketing was founded by Nick Petrella in 2026 to provide relationship-driven marketing support for small businesses. His approach focuses on helping business owners make confident decisions and build consistent customer growth with marketing that is clear, practical, and measurable.

In 2025, Nick earned undergraduate degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Washburn University.  While in school, he found his passion of working with small businesses through an internship with GoTopeka, an economic development agency, where he worked with local entrepreneurs across Topeka and Shawnee County, Kansas.

Beyond the classroom, Nick was a four-year member of Washburn University’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams. For three years, he was the PA announcer for the Track & Field facility where he sharpened his ability to engage audiences and communicate clearly in real time.
